...you're only six months away from having graduated and having taken the bar (for the first time). Seriously though, where did the time go. It has gone by far more quickly than I could have ever imagined. This final semester of law school, and quite possibly my final semester of school ever, started about two weeks ago. It was really a bittersweet beginning. Bitter, in that I had to go back to school, and sweet, because it is the last semester. And maybe a little of both because of what it means to be done with all of this.
If you play it smart, the 3L year can be a wonderful time. I took enough credits in the first five semesters that I only needed eight creidts to graduate. However, they make you take at least 10, and because I love to learn, I'm still taking 12 credits. I also managed to get a nearly perfect schedule this semester. For starters, I only have class Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. That means I have four-day weekends! It also means that I have to work hard and read a lot for three days, but I can live with it. Despite the "easy" schedule, this semester started out in full gear and I have been very busy with projects and what not. The most exciting thing for me about this semester is that we get to do another Law Revue show. It still ranks as my favorite part of law school. I've been preparing for this all year, trying to think of skits and jokes that will make 'em laugh.
One scary thing about this being the last semester is that I really have to find a job. I don't have one lined up yet and I will definitely be needing one to pay off those loans. I know that most of my class don't have jobs right now, but tis the season to make an effort.
For those that are curious, I managed to pass the MPRE with flying colors and very little effort. I know the Bar will require more effort, but it does give one hope and a little more faith in the review courses.
